Try it out for yourself: log in (above right) using the username and password 'weaver' and try downloading one of the files on the server and uploading one of your own small files (no bigger than 100KB).

In fact, feel free to 'manage' the files and folders any way you like — but please only delete your own! Try creating folders, for example, and renaming and moving files between folders... see for yourself how quick, intuitive and easy it is to manage the files on the server.

"I've actually created two different weaverFM pages. One is an area where students can collaborate. As they work on course projects they can add materials to the various topic folders — and even to topics they aren't working on, but have nonetheless found something interesting to share with other students in the class.

"The other weaverFM page is for private sharing. In this area each student has their own folder. Only they and I have access to it. This is where they will upload their individual work, and in turn this is where they'll find my feedback that I give to them on the various materials they post there."

"When I heard Greg Barchard was working on an alternative solution, specifically for RapidWeaver, I had to give this a go. I've been trialling weaverFM on my website for a couple of weeks now. When somebody needs to send me a large file, I've found I can quickly setup an account for them on my WeaverFM page. Then email them the username and password. The customer can then login and upload the files at their end, I get an email notification when it's ready. Vice-versa, if I need to send somebody a large file like a custom RapidWeaver theme, it is easy to upload it to the web server via WeaverFM. That person can then safely download the file at their convenience. An archive of back versions can also be maintained." Will Woodgate
